1/125 Space Station MIR |
This is a 1/125 Scale Space Station MIR Plastic Model Kit from Heller.
In 1986 the Russian Proton rocket launched the first space station into orbit-marking a milestone in the history of the conquest of space. MIR, which translates as PEACE, circled the earth at an altitude of approximately 400km. Cosmonauts relied on each other and worked, slept and exercised in the central section. Having fallen into a state of disrepair, the space station was allowed to return to Earth in 2001.
78 white plastic pieces are attached to sprue trees.
Extremely detailed and quite realistic.
A black plastic base is included for the completed space station.
Waterslide decals simulate the solar panels.
