I have several pair of spruce cutters in my box but these are fast becoming my #1 goto cutters... With a little care and steady hand you can get right up next to the part you are snipping saving time cleaning flash off the snipped parts... They are very sharp and can be used with photo-etch sheets as well - again with care and a steady hand... They fit comfortably in the hand and the spring loaded action makes snipping parts a breeze... Even if you have other cutters you might want to try these... Great price for a high quality tool..

Excellent quality for the money! Very sharp and the spring loaded hinge makes it nice to use. No issues at all!

After a couple examples of why an X-Acto knife might not be the best tool for removing figures from sprues, I bought these snips. They work perfectly. The cuts are clean and can be made close enough to the figure so that additional cutting or shaving isn't necessary. The cutting tip is small enough to maneuver around the figures without cutting things that don't need cutting. So far I have used it on seven or eight figure sets without damaging any of the figures.
