"A Great Kit if You Are Learning Figure-Painting"

I've always painted vehicles and decided I wanted to try painting a human figure. This kit is IDEAL for such a purpose. The pieces are solid plastic and fit together so well, you really don't need glue. Because Tarzan is wearing a loincloth, you spend lots of time painting his flesh, which is a wonderful learning opportunity for a beginner like me. I took my time, painted in dark to light layers, and was very careful with his eyes. In the end, my Tarzan was bronzed and slightly muddy, but I couldn't get over how awesome he looked when finished. I've tried paining other figures since Tarzan, but none have turned out as well as the Lord of the Jungle. Highly recommended if you are looking for a kit to learn about figure painting.

"The Lord of the Jungle!"

This is a really well done kit. I believe the sculpt is based on Jow Jusko's art of the Jungle Lord and is a very muscular, comic book style Tarzan rather than looking like Johnny Weismuller or any particular movie actor. The kit is solid vinyl or soft plastic of some kind, like all the other Pegasus figure kits I've built and it plugs together almost seamlessly! If I have any complaint, it's only that the pose is not very dynamic, but that is a very minor complaint. I highly recommend this kit!
