"Inaccurate but fun!"

Even when I first built this model in 1966 I didn't like the fact that it doesn't include figures of the Green Hornet & Kato. Aurora originally issued this model to capitalize on the 1966 TV series. But, they didn't bother to get any details of the car other than the shape of the body correct. The model only has 2 headlights when the car had 4. The rocket launchers were not configured correctly, either. When Polar Lights re-issued the model they didn't bother to correct any of the mistakes. Even the special edition in the tin box, which did correct the rocket launchers, still only had 2 headlights. All of the detail mistakes can be corrected by an energetic and imaginative modeler with some slight effort, but corrected or straight out of the box, this is a fun, popular model to build. Looks great on a display shelf!
