"Really nice kit, love the boxart !"

I built the 53 PU awhile back so I know how cool that one is, add the trailer & we have a winner, my sample didn't have alot of flash to clean up, but even if it did, its no big deal... The trailer's probably gonna be teamed up with the excellent AMT 50 Chevy PU....

Very good kit based on the 53 Ford pickup that’s been around for ever. Some flash cause it’s an older kit. The trailer is really nice and really looks the part of a short track race setup. This build took a while while I figured out which way I wanted to go. You can be wild or mild. The truck has engine options and lots of different chrome accouterments. Build whatever is in your mind’s eye.

Fun kit to build. No problems with part fitting. Enjoyed the time it took me to build it.

I can't remember how many times I've built this truck. I keep buying it for all the extra goodies in the box. I bought this kit when it was called Diamond in the Rough and came with a 1939-40 Ford 2 door sedan that was already wrecked. I still have the Ford unbuilt in my stash of kits. The instructions were accurate and well drawn. The flash was heavy in some spots and needed some work. I have 7 of these trucks on my shelves and this is the first one I have built without a tweeked frame. This frame sat flat and even, so check your frames. Other then that with goes together great. I painted it a Candy Root beer over copper with a Tan and brown interior. I would recommend this kit to all builders. It is a lot of fun.
