Does what it's supposed to, although it seems to be very thin yet doesn't go very far.

"Great Primer"

Primer seems very basic, but I've used primers that were clearly not as good as this one, so I'm grateful to have it.

"You get what you pay for and Tamiya primer is no exception"

If money is no concern and you want the best primer for your plastic model, then this is your ticket. Yes, primers you get from the hardware store may work (and save a little bit of money from a unit price perspective), but you never know what you're gonna get. As long as you're using Tamiya paints with this, you can assume an unexpected result from your paintjob is your fault and not Tamiya's.
