Its hard to find a reasonably priced X-15 these days. Yes it it small, but the model shows how it operated and released by the B-52.

COMES WITH A VERY NICE SWIVEL DISPLAY STAND AND NAMEPLATE AS DO ALL ATLANTIS AIRCRAFT.THIS IS A VERY EARLY B-52,NOT A LOT OF GOODIES. THE X-15 EASILY DETACHES . NICE KIT IF THE HUNDREDS OF BIGGER MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE SHIPS,PLANES AND TANKS I HAVE NOTICED EVERYONE STOPS TO TAKE A LITTLE LOOK AT THIS ONE.AFTERALL ISN'T THAT THE GOAL.

"Great Reissue of a Great Subject"

Although not of great detail, this kit is definitely of great fun. Props to Atlantis for reissuing this and many other vintage molds for modelers to continue to enjoy. This kit goes together very quickly and will require a little bit of flash cleanup and fitting, but that's just a part of our great hobby. There are large gaps at the wing roots some may want to fill, but I left mine as-is in the spirit of the vintage experience this kit offers. As said above, there's not a ton of detail, but a visually intriguing model can be built out of this kit with little effort. I fully plan on purchasing more of these Atlantis reissues, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a quick build of awesome and unique subjects.

"Great subject with old-school flaws, but still fun!"

What a great subject for another atlantis repop. This one originally came out in the early 1960's and shows the age. No detail to speak of and my X-15 had bent tail fins which are difficult to correct with breaking them off and gluing straight.Otherwise the kit presents minimal challenges and is a good subject for young modelers looking for a first 'glue' kit. The detail on the jet engine intakes is nice and makes painting them easy. There is no detail on the X-15 so nothing to dress up. As stated, this is a basic kit of a very interesting subject.
