"great model, with some build challenges"

this is a smaller version af a kit i built in my childhood. rockets look like simple forms, but they present challenges to aspiring modellers. for smooth seams between the long tubular sections, some patience and sanding and filling pay off. the ribbed detail on these sections requires carefull masking for the painting process. ther are a lot of very small pieces that require tweezers and careful cement application to work with. all that being said, if you are willing to deal with these aspects, you will grow as a modeller and be very happy for your efforts. i was delighted with my results and enjoyed a nostalgic ride along the way. the moon shot program was one of the biggest influences on my high school years and this kit really brought back those memories. as a modelling challenge, it delivers big time in satisfaction and growth for anyone starting out. my first saturn v model in the 60's was all brush painted and i was as proud of it as i am of this one . recomended to anyone who is willing to accept a little challenge or maybe a little help. fine kit of a great and historic subject!

Material and detail do not hold a candle to modern kits. Instructions are weak and paint colors are not all accurate to actual Rocket. The stage 2 rockets are a joke. Seams are very noticeable. Still, i love the subject and it was fun building the largest kit in my collection!
