"Rebox of an older kit"

Considering what is available now, it a kid's kit. That being said, I built it as a paint mule as I have been out of the hobby for a while and I purchased an airbrush. I would recommend this kit as a starter for what I am doing with it or to bring a young modeler into the hobby so if they mess up, you are not out an expensive kit

This is not a highly detailed exact scale replica. What it is, is a nicely done reissue of a kit produced a few decades ago. Even then it was not designed to be an authoritative replica of the JS III. It is a nice, fun to build close facsimile of it. It is fun to build and close enough for those not worried about dimensional exactness. With a little creativity and work it can be brought up to higher standards of detail. The figure is actually nicely done though there is dome flash and a sinkhole to take care of.
