AKI has out done themselves with their sand primer. Paint airbrushes great right out of the bottle.

I use this when I want to give my tanks a desert or sand paint job. I do use AK's airbrush thinner to thin it down about 50/50 before airbrushing. I find it airbrushes better and I get an even light coat. I usually do two to three light coats. I can also lightly sand area. This seems to stick to plastic well and I have had no problems with paint flacking off. I am going to try using this primer on top surfaces of models over their black primer. This will help the base coat have a washed out, weather look on the top exposed parts.
