"So many options, so little time"

You all know that this kit has been produced forever. That says something right there. In the past there has been the Tall T, the Roadster T, the Fruit truck T, etc. Parts on AMT's Double Dragster even fit on these kits. There are so many combinations possible. After planning, testing, and trial and error, I finally sat down and created something unique. I included an engine from the Double dragster, frame from roadster T, body from tall T, and some parts that I don't even remember which kit they came from. All these assorted parts helped me create a colorful subject from Henry's plain ol' Model T.

My all time favorite model kit. First off you get two complete kits in one box, with enough left over parts to start a 3rd. Or use the left over parts for a junkyard diorama. The fruit t Show Rod is a blast to build. The front suspension is very delicate and fiddly. Plan ahead, test fit and have superglue on hand. Beautiful Goodyear blue streak slicks and a set of whitewall tires and Crager SS rims sweeten the deal. The most important thing I learned from this kit is plan ahead since there are so many variations you can build from this one kit. This is a great slump buster of a kit! I plan on building this kit in another 10 different variations. Get it while you can!

"Great kit"

What a great kit. So many options. Not bad as far as flash, minimal clean-up needed. The only fit issues I had were because of me adding parts from the parts box. Well worth the price.

"Great kit with myriad build options."

This was one of the first kits I built in a long, long time. Building two complete cars from one kit is a pretty sweet deal, indeed. I do have one major complaint, though: the oil pan for the stock T engine doesn't seem to be the correct part at all. I suppose it's possible that I misread the directions or something like that, but it seems pretty unlikely; I'm skilled at following instructions. The engines are both very detailed, especially the hot rod engine. Lots of chrome, lots of options. I used as much of the chrome as I could because I couldn't see a single reason not to. As for the rest of the build, I enjoyed it. There was a little bit of fiddling to get some of the parts to fit, but I think that was probably because I kind of mixed and matched my own way instead of following any of the specific instructions. It's all the same scale out of the same box, so I figured it would all go together more or less how however I wanted. I opted for a stock-ish roadster with the wood wheels and such, and then a race version of a flatbed pickup, more or less. There are quite a few parts that weren't used in either build I did, so I have those to add to my stash for future builds. As another reviewer said, the suspension for the race version is very delicate. I was happy to have read their tip about having superglue on hand and ready before I tackled the front end. The superglue really saved the day. Overall, this is a solid kit and well worth picking up. Despite my problem with the oil pan, I will likely pick up another one of these. It really is a fun kit to build with a surprising amount of variation. A person could probably build this kit four or five times and have eight or ten distinctly different models when finished.
