1965 Chevy Impala

I love this kit so much I'm on my third! this time I got tired of waiting for a custom rimmed 1966, so I purchased the Street Burner 1966 and the Foose 1965 used the body and interior from 66, the rest is 65 including the Foose suspension which lowers the front a little bit over stock. This is your above average Revell/Monogram kit, everything fits as it should, the upper control arms for the rear axle can be tricky and go into the provided holes in the floorpan, makes perfect sense after you do it. all windows are 1 piece=not much room for glue error smudging! Highly recommend this kit!

This model is excellent. How ever it asks me to use decal #5, of which there is only one, twice. It makes my OCD cringe. Page 8-9 both have *5 on the instructions. I almost don't want to finish it because now I have a missing decal. 😩 Also, the brake rotors decals are onsite the wheel decals. That makes it really difficult to apply these decals. Love the model but the decals are messed up!

People that have seen my other reviews might think I am affiliated with Revell the way I brag on them. It's just I feel their kits are far superior to some of the other manufacturers out there, and this kit is no exception. You can build this factory stock or as the Foose custom. Parts fit and finish are great with no flash to trim and there is only a very small mold line at the lower rear of the quarter window. I did find the rear suspension rather finicky to get all aligned and in place and the instructions rather vague for this step. You will want to be sure to completely sand off the fender emblems as the decals aren't the same shape, and I do believe they should have been 396 decals instead of the 409 supplied in the kit.
