"The Complete Package"

This model was my entrance back into building models after a long time. The 65 Impala didnâ€™t disappoint. The Foose edition was full of detailing and little extras. The chrome plate on the back seat was one of my favorites. I also loved the low profile look of how the body sits on the tires and rims. It takes some patience and adjustments, but the body will sit really well. One of the things I wish I did was sand ALL the sides on the hood before painting it. I can get it to completely close but not without chipping the paint on the edges. I definitely recommend sanding or even light trimming the sides of the hood before painting it. Overall I think this skill level 5 model is a great project. Iâ€™m convinced any Foose edition model is going to be worth the build and a must.

"The decal sheet was made by a real jerk."

This model is excellent. How ever it asks me to use decal #5, of which there is only one, twice. It makes my OCD cringe. Page 8-9 both have *5 on the instructions. I almost don't want to finish it because now I have a missing decal. ðŸ˜© Also, the brake rotors decals are onsite the wheel decals. That makes it really difficult to apply these decals. Love the model but the decals are messed up!

"1 sweet kit"

I did own 1 of these paid 1000 dollars for it in 1968. This is an excellent kit to put together. I enjoy kits that are 2 in 1 and 3 in 1. Because you have the opportunity to build it your way. In other words it's my car as with all modeling projects you may have difficulties. Would recommend this kit to anyone who needs a 65 in there show case. "A must try"

I loved putting this one together. Personally I chose to go the foose route but might buy again to try stock. Although it says skill 2 here i have a box with the same item number that says skill 5 and after putting this kit together im gonna go ahead and stick with it being a skill 5 . Decals were one of the harder ones ive done , it even includes decals on engine parts which is pretty cool. Rim decals were difficult. Very detailed interior and looks great any color . You can play wit the suspension to make it higher or lower. Liked the custom foose tires . A few customizable differences for each look (Foose or stock). Can mix parts from the 63 64 65 and 66 impala as there all different model options but mostly similar. All pieces are glue/cement parts, no snaps in this one . There was a misprint on the decal directions as they used #16 twice and never mention 15. Be sure to check that . I like how they tell you when you should put the decals on during the building process . Some kits just give you a visual at the end and it turns out to be harder to apply decals . This kit takes alot of concentration on centering pieces from the engine to the axels . Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a challenge. 5 out of 5 on value
