Bought this for the neighbor boys, who seemed interested in my more complex (and fragile!) rubber powered models. I wanted something simple and durable, but not too much money or time invested until I determined their interest level.
Parts are well cut, and assembly is simple and quick. But when finished it was just too heavy to really fly. I also noticed it was weak at the back of the fuselage where the rubber motor is anchored-- I added some cross-grain pieces of balsa to reinforce it. In the end, I did not pass it to the boys, as I thought the poor flying performance would actually discourage them.
Perhaps with some tweaking, I might have been able to improve the performance, but the whole point was to get something out-of-the-box that flew OK. I didn't expect a contest flyer, but this just didn't fit the bill for me.
