Very realistic but not the easiest to work with

This Woodland Scenics product is super realistic. It's pure white and very fine grained. I do the majority of my scenery using 50/50 white glue and that's where I encountered some difficulty. Initially it behaves as if hydro-phobic. Once it does marry with the 50/50 it looses it's flake definition and looks more like compacted snow than undisturbed powder. I've gotten acceptable results by laying a base with 50/50 mixed with this snow then, once thoroughly dry, brushing on a thin coat of 50/50 and using the shaker top to apply the finish - fluffy looking - layer. You can press LIGHTLY with a sandwich baggy of clump foliage to set the flakes just a bit.... Let dry and vacuum up the excess.
