This set provided four plastic limber horses in two poses, with a limber pole to harness them together. This basic set does not contain the limber, limber riders, or artillery drivers -- you have to buy the IMEX limber and cannon sets to get those. The four horse figures in this set are relatively flash-free, and the soft plastic takes and hold paint well. I undercoated them in KRYLON dark brown camouflage paint, gave them a light drybrush of red brown, and painted in the harness. The horses do not come with bases, so I glued the completed team on a piece of 3 inch by 1/8 inch sheet balsa wood. These figures are suitable for many periods, and this set is great value for the money.
