"Building the Minicraft TWA 707"

This is a nice kit, The Decals are crisp and the colors are great, they apply to the model really well The 707 is a fairly easy build till you get to the Main Landing Gears..you will have some issues that have to be worked out, #1, the holes for the gears in the wing were not open, The gear parts # 46 &47 the side strut actuators, big problems, they did not have a hole drilled in the MLG for one end, and when you put the other end into the wheel well where its supposed to be..the part is TOO SHORT It will not line up with the holes provided..you have to make a new hole with a pin vice so the MLG will sit level I have Included a picture of my built TWA 707 on Face Book under 707 Fan Club

"The only 707-320 game there is, but needing work"

Generally the wings are shaped correctly, panel lines are sparse though. The fuselage lacks windows (found on decals), and the nose profile is way off with the windshield too high up. The ventral fin needs to be made deeper and more curved, and the #1 engine pylon should have a fake turbocompressor hump on it, which can be fashioned from shaped plastic and putty. All in all, it will take much patient work to produce a nicely accurate looking 707, but it can be done.
