The 1/144 Dreamliners, Revell B787-8 and the Zvezda B787-8 are identical models, Revell in white, Zvezda in grey. Zvezda has a stand. All parts identical and interchangeable, so imagine you can have a white fuselage, grey wings, white engines ......... without major painting. I admit no matter how hard I try, my painting cannot match the quality of the original plastic molding. Both are extremely good fitting models, everything lines up perfectly, hardly any flashings to trim. Revell (and Zvezda) quality has really improved with these new models, just compare with the terrible old Revell B747-400. Another tip: the windows come with transparent window rows, use a sharpie to paint the backside black, then glue to windows, then you don't even need to apply the window decals. Decals eventually peel off, but this is permanent. See photos attached. Decals on the Zvevda are very disappointing, not even bare minimum.

This is a good model of the 787 and the first to do the 787 in 1/144 scale. The pieces are well detailed and fit together well. There is vey little flash around the edges. I like the detail in the engines, probably the best part of this model. The main fan blades are molded individually and highly detailed but fragile. Both wings are mounted as a single top & bottom piece that forms the bottom of the main fuselage when attached. I like this style because it makes them easier to attach with a stronger bond and ensures they will be symmetrical. Zvezda uses a different kind of plastic in molding than others that comes out dark colored and with a slightly dark texture. The decals are the only disappointment only including the barest detail. Not really a problem if you are planning to do this in an actual airline livery.

On the kit quality aspect, perfect! Nice to assemble, even if the stabilizors and rudder were a little curvy, but very nice in details. The new Boeing is well represented by zvezda... And by revell: this was made at a time that both company were cooperating in the models, they've used the same moulds, only the box changed. I built this twice, on one tried to do this paint scheme, went horribly wrong and was scrapped, and on the second one, even with aftermarked decals, also failed, and ended up going for JAL paint scheme. Do not regret that!
