Fast shipping. Great deal. Seems to be the snap kit revamped for glue. A bit of clean up but nothing major and better than most. In the early 70s as a kid speed racer was on after school. Speed racer, 68 spiderman, gilligans island, and other shows would be on. After them shows it was out the door to play. Oh and ultraman. I have been wanting the mach 5, i have a few different diecast mach 5s in various scales. Nice kit over all. Nice rubber tires and chrome rims.

"Nostalgia at it's best"

I enjoyed building this kit a lot, being one who grew up idolizing the show and more so the car, it was a very nostalgic build. The kit is well made, a bit of flashing, nothing crazy. I would recommend doing some test fitting as you go along, some of the guide pins and what not need to be sanded/trimmed down in order to fit properly, but outside of that it's nothing to overwhelming. The kit has more than enough detail to make it as show accurate as you want (minus the fact the engine is in the rear), the decal sheet isn't over the top, but you get the key ones you need for the Mach 5, it would have been nice to have a decal for the instrument panel, I ended up using an extra decal I trimmed down to fit in the Mach 5 dash because I wasn't crazy about just a painted panel, that said, not an easy thing to see, so pretty much a personal thing. One thing you may want to do based on your comfort/skill level is cut the nose cone off the frame and attach it to the body. I did so to avoid the seam in the nose cone, when test fitting I just didn't like seeing that seam up front and center, it fits tight enough where a little filler will work, sand it down and paint it along with the body... just one builders opinion ;) Overall enjoyable kit, if you were in to the show and born in the mid 60's you'll love having the kit on display.
