Model Master Spray Black 3 oz

First,I generally use my airbrush to paint my plastic model cars and trucks.Then I was shopping on here for just a can of black spray paint for all models black is a must.I started reading about the paint and it was described as a new real automotive colors from different makes of cars and trucks as they were used on the real cars they paint of the same colors as the automobile makers.As I kept reading I discovered also it was a new 2 step Model Master Auto Lacquer paint and Clear coat system. I ordered a couple different colors of the Model Master 2 step Auto Lacquer spray paints and a can of the Model Master Auto Lacquer Ultra Gloss Clear Coat.After I primered the model with Model Master White Primer,I then sprayed the model with 5-6 coats of my base color which was the Gloss Black let it sit for abut 30 minutes & then added a second full coat and did the same for 6 coats.I waited 24 hors or so and then started applying the Clear coats.The Model Master Ultra Gloss Lacquer Clear Coat using the 2 step Auto Lacquer spray system.I like for my models to have a mirror like finish like a real new car,so I applied 6 coats waiting again about 30 minutes between each light coat(Really only about 15-20 minutes light coats).Then I covered the model with a shoe box or the model box so not to get any airborn dust to get on it for a full 24 hours so that the Lacquer Clear Coat could cure before starting my wet sanding to get the whole body a uniformed and Glossy finish.I then used a polish 3 step system.After polishing with a polishing cloth it came out a Beautiful mirror like finish.This is the best Model Master 2 step Auto Lacquer System I have ever used,hands down!!Also,one more note,I had a model which I airbrushed with Acrylic paint with as many coats as I used with this and then used the Ultra Gloss Clear Coat Lacquer on it and had just as good results.I highly recommend this Model Master 2 step Auto Lacquer system and though it sounds like I did a lot of work,trust me it's not as hard as it sounds.You don't have to use as many coats as both the paint and clear coat as I did,that's just the way I have found to get a great realistic paint job on my models is with the way I described. I really hope this helps answer some of the questions about this new system from Model Master and I will continue to use these products.Very reasonable priced on the 3oz.cans and they go a lot further than what you think.I could probably get 2-3 more models with the black and many more with the Clear Coat.I Really Highly Recommend these products on your future models.I know I will!!!
