The newer Airfix kits have been a pleasant experience to build. This is no different. The parts fit nicely - the only issue being the engines to wings. This area needs special care and attention in order to get a smooth join. But with careful work, this isn't a huge issue. I was able to build mine without the use of any putty, just sanding and polishing the seams before prime and paint. I used the Eduard aftermarket cockpit interior for the A-1A(pure fighter, not ground attack) version, which fit perfectly. The kit cockpit was great but I wanted more bang as I was opening the canopy. I also added pipes to the interior of the landing gear bay as they were missing and pretty visible in the real thing. The kit has 2 options for paint - one with the more complicated mottled look, and another with a geometric pattern camouflage. The decals include a good amount of stencils which can be read under magnification. I found this to be a really fun build and worth the price.
