1960 Chevy Custom Fleetside Pickup with Go Kart

If you're into Chevy pickup trucks, this nicely detailed kit would be a great addition to your collection. The 6-cylinder engine and under-hood area, frame and suspension, truck bed, and interior have a good level of detail, and the overall design of the kit is generally well thought out. And the included go-kart kit is a nice bonus. I did encounter a few problems with the kit, though. Some of the assembly drawings are not very clear, so the modeler must take extra care to be sure he understands how the parts fit together. The fit of the front of the engine compartment was quite poor, and required a good a bit of work to achieve a decent fit. The tires are poorly molded, with the mold halves about 1/2mm out of alignment. And the bed requires a bit of a juggling act to attach it to the chassis and cab assembly, putting the paint job at risk. If you're an experienced modeler, you've likely encountered similar problems with other kits, so this kit won't be much of a problem for you. The beginner, however, will want to take his time with this kit.

This was a great kit. The detail is excellent; particularly on the interior. Engine looks great. Chassis detail is excellent. Fitting the firewall was tricky and required some plastic removal to fit the body. The body and bed are a tight fit but when you get it in place, it's perfect. Stance is right on.

I purchased this because of the go cart. I enjoy these kits with the extra accessories.
