Spectrum Ambassador Hotel

This is a really nice model of a downtown hotel. I have purchased and assembled three of the Spectrum models and this one took the longest. There are a lot of individual and small panel windows that need to be cut out and secured in the walls before assembly. A modeling knife and a steady supply of blades is essential. I think the intent was for the initial assembly to be nearly glue-free as there are posts on the inside walls that the windows should snap to, securing both the windows and the glass. However, many of these fell off in the time it took the model to get to me so that a lot of gluing was required. Fortunately this can be accomplished without glue showing on the walls or windows. The out-of-the-box color scheme is very nice and I only painted the roof details. The effort required was worth it as this model looks really nice on the platform.

For more of an advanced modeler, this kit is a little more challenging. Looks great when built. Kit comes with a bunch of extra parts and decals.
