I had been looking forward to this kit for awhile, but overall felt disappointed by the end. This kit had good detail in some areas, but a lot of other spots were uneven. For example, the right canard had sharper detail than the one of the left. Many pieces had flash and seams. One of the worst things is that all the AIM-9 missiles had malformed fins, and the AGM-65 missiles had not clear parts for the seeker. Beside that, the weapons included are pretty nice. Also, there are no fuel tanks and it is hard to get resin ones. Fit was awful, a lot of filing and sanding was needed. Many parts fit so poorly it was like they were from two different manufactures kits. A lot of the optional things like refueling probe and airbreaks, are not really optional because they do not fit well in the closed positions. However, a nice part of this kit was the cockpit. Quite detailed, and ends up looking very nice. The directions were very nice as well. Along with the decals, which were some of the best i have every used. I cannot recommend this kit as I feel the quality does not match the price. Someone once described the issue with Kitty Hawk is they are not models builders themselves, rather just a business that sells models.

This kit is a good kit with a more than average amount of detail, except for in the cockpit. The cockpit detail is in the center of the spectrum IMO. I think that the seat is pretty good though, it holds up reasonably to resin seats. There is PE included in this kit and multiple decal options.
