USSR MiG-29A Fulcrum

This is a plastic 1/48 MiG-29A "Fulcrum" U.S.S.R. Jet Fighter from Academy Plastics.

One of the last products of the Soviet aircraft industry and one of the most advanced aircraft ever produced, the MiG-29 is equivalent in size and performance to the U.S. F-16 Falcon. However, the MiG-29 is powered by two engines and is highly maneuverable, as has been demonstrated at many Western airshows since the end of the Soviet empire.

"Fit problems with this model"
drwho31 (St. Louis, MO)
Love putting this together. there are fit problems with the back fuselage with the front. I tried repairing it but I was unsuccessful. It is a shame that I wasn't able to fix it. It's a fantastic looking model, some details were not present based on photos that I saw.

"Nice kit but requires work to be accurate."
davezz4 (Schaumburg, IL)
The kit is nice but has some issues. Generally the fit is good except for the fuselage around the cockpit and nose. Suggest getting the Eduard nose, engines, and cockpit detail kit to make the details accurate. Instructions are good. decals are OK. They are slightly distorted on the small wordings. The missiles (AA-10D, A11, and A8) are pretty good. Overall a good kit.

"Academy 1/48 MiG-29A"
This kit can be good with some hard work as it has several shape inaccuracies, such as the radome. The landing gear stations and stuff is also inaccurate. The engines are pretty accurate, which is a plus. The wings fit generally good. Overall an OK kit. Cockpit details are nice. There are a few fit problems.
