"A great reissue"

This kit builds up rather simple with a small parts count, but is big on details. A bit of detail painting really brings it to life. The decal sheet is updated from the previous issues of this kit and is fantastic. You won't see Tamiya like quality here though. There is quite a few prominent mold lines and some flash to clean up. The body lines and roof need a little addressing with a sanding block to get everything sharp and lined up. Past that assembly is a breeze. I'd recommend this kit for an intermediate builder, as the overall assembly isn't difficult but the decals and how fine they are require a bit more experience IMO.

great kit fun to build, goes together easy. only problem I had was body and seat tub fitting, just a little shaving on both sides of tub and went right in. great decals, they go on with ease. this kit is highly recommended

I actually built the “Donk” version of the ’86 Monte Carlo SS that has been discontinued. It goes together nice, and the interior tub has separate parts that really help in painting the detail. In fact, if you carefully pick out the details with paint and a wash, it looks outstanding. Suggestion: install the front end and the tail end and then paint as a unit. You will still be able to easily install the body to the frame. The exterior looks really nice and accurately represents the Monte Carlo. I would recommend it - if it ever comes back that is.

This is a nice kit, for the intermediate builder. Its a nice step up from Skill level 2,I would place this as a SL3 , not 4 its got a few smaller parts, but all in all a great kit! with beautiful end results!
