"Good For Super-Detailing"
imageArtCo (Bayonne, NJ)
The finished kit's interior is very open to super-detailing. You can easily add lighting, figures, tools, etc. My kit had some issues, however. Upon opening the box, I noticed a few parts looked warped. It wasn't until I began assembly that I realized almost EVERYTHING was warped in a MAJOR WAY! The front and rear walls are very flimsy, due to the cut-outs for the windows and doors. In my kit, this resulted in cracks at all the doors due to the terrible warpage. It took quite a bit of putty and re-inforcing strips to repair all the damage. The glazing (glass inserts) did not fit properly. This accounted for much filing to make them fit. I used tacky glue to affix the windows. It dries clear but is stickier than regular white glue so things don't mover around as much. That being said, it still took a lot of weight to keep the windows in place while the glue set. There are MANY rail supports to install. I found it best to start on one side, add the supports for one rail, install the rail and move on to the next one. Work slowly with the platforms. I used Walther's Goo to fix the platform supports to the bottom and then used tweezers to mount each support to it's proper place on the base. Take care with the railings... they are delicate. Also, they are mis-numbered on the sprue. The sprue numbering leads you to believe that there are four (4) of part #8 per sprue... there are only 2 per sprue. I assembled the walls differently than the directions suggest, adding them to the base one-by-one. It was easier to keep them aligned this way, especially due to my kit's warpage. Finally, the instructions do not even mention the two (2) long downspouts. They are added to the taller wall. All-in-all, the finished kit looks good. Just hope yours isn't warped!!!
