M-46 PATTON and PUSAN PERIMETER

Although it appears to have many good features, these are pretty useless when the parts do not fit properly and are nearly impossible to correct. I have actually put the partially assembled parts and will probably never finish it! It is also poorly engineered. For example: you are expected to glue nearly 160 alignment teeth in styrene to the inside of the rubberized tracks! It is insane and totally unnecessary if the tracks were properly molded! The rear panel would not properly align to the lower hull and slots had to be carved into it to fit the tow hitch (pintel) and chain stops. The parts for the gun could not be made to fit the turret even when a large portion of the opening was cut away! So on and so on! One positive not is that the troops included in the kit have, so far, assembled well and have good details. By comparison, I have just finished highly detailed Tamiya kits of the Panther, M-26 Super Pershing and M-4 Sherman without any problems. I also detailed out a Trumpeter 1/35 LCM and crew very well. Even the Lindberg M-46 worked much better even though it has far less details. I have been modeling since age 7 and am now 64! It is very disappointing to waste money on such a poor kit and would suggest that this kit be avoided. I have had some difficulty with other Dragon/Cyberhobby kits in the past but at least I was able to work through them.
