This is a 1/35 Sherman M4-A1 WWII Tank from Italeri.:

The Sherman tank was the most widely used allied tank of WWII. The M4A1 was an improved version introduced in 1944 and carried a much improved 76mm main gun. This weapon, combined with the Sherman's mobility and numerical superiority enabled it to defeat enemy armour in combat.:

"Very Pleased,"
Quik shipment as usual. I opened the box to this kit and could tell it was quality. Haven't had a chance to assemble but I know I'll not be disappointed

"Multiple copies built-- still like"
Geezum! I built versions of this way back in the 80's and am still finding bits and pieces of them in my scrap bucket. A great rendition of the first 76mm Shermans sent to Europe. 200 of them were in depots waiting to be issued but the troops didn't have the time to train with the new rides until after crossing the Channel. Fit works well. Decent amount of parts and a very detailed suspension, very articulated. However, I found I had to glue the front and rear rocker arms on the VVSS to keep the track from tensioning them out of shape. The track from the front bogie wheel to the rear bogie should be flat. Other hint--- the rear idler wheel sprocket pin is a separate part that glues onto the rear. Let this dry completely before putting the track on otherwise the track tension will pull it out of alignment.

"Thank you"
Not quite on the same scale as Tamiya, but a good represtation for the money.... There was a small amount of flash, directions leave out a few parts....and the fit is not as clean as one would see with Tamiya when it come to the tank upper hull and the lower body .....but with a little sanding and slight modification it workable... The plastic tracks are much better than other brands plastic tracks as they go together better then the hot screw driver brand and brush type tracks .. which I do not like...perhaps Italeri will expand into the accessories area in regards to more solid, tracks that simply one can glue without seeing the splice??

"Simple and very detailed."

I had purchased this item awhile back. It was simple and very detailed. I kept my M4-A1 simple in design and added Light Infantry to right the tank. It made a good deal for a spring european diorama. I definitely do recommend this item for beginners, for advanced modellers as well. The Tank I made replicated the 10th Armored Division, adding the Infantry, they were of 3rd Infantry Division. From PVT's to a CPT.
