"Thanks Round2"
Overall nice kit. The part details are pretty crisp and there's not a lot of flash to deal with, the chrome is immaculate and I love the stock rally wheel or Torq Thrust wheel choices. The new white letter pad printed tires are nice and give the car a classic muscle car look. My only complaint is that the decals, while very crisp and easy to work with, do not include any decals for interior, gauge or under hood details. This is odd given that this is a fairly recent re-issue and the other releases from Round2 include these type of decals.

"Older tooling"
Like another review said this kit used older tooling, so more work needs to be done to have a show quality build. Kit has some options and extra parts and mostly went together well.

"Blast from the past"
I had to buy this kit when I saw it. I owned a 1969 442, although mine was a post coupe and this is a hard top. Most of the details are spot on out of the box, some need work. Since this was the first model car I worked on in about 30 years, my skills were a bit rusty, so I will have to buy a new one and do some things better (perfectionism is such a curse!!!!). I would have preferred raised emblems molded on the body over decals, but some prefer the other. I also would have liked less chrome for the engine parts. The wheels don't fit real well, that is my only complaint about the kit quality.

"Nice reissue"

This kit builds into a pretty well detailed model with good parts fitment and very little flash. The pad printed tires are a great addition and really compliment the detailed wheels. My biggest complaint is with the decals, they seem rather thick and leave a noticeable border. You may want to sand down the Olds Rocket emblems on the quarter panels for a better decal fit. The kit includes trunk stripes as well but we're not used on the actual 442.
