1970 FORD POLICE CAR

Yes @ imageartco, This is a reissue of an old amt kit. AMT , along w/ MPC, Lindberg, Hawk, Testors,and polar lights have been bought out by Round2models. They are reissueing most of the kits from these lines ,which is great for older modelers like me who missed them back then!! A good kit , well detailed , w/ multiple city Police decals included to choose from, w/appropriate painting details for each version. I chose City of Troy as I liked the blue & white scheme. I used a dark blue met.paint on the bottom as many Police depts. were experimenting with flashy paint jobs,at the time to breakaway from the standard black & white's. The only issue I found was the location of the radio under the dash, It didn't seem to fit right ,so I had to move it to the right to get it to fit. I added a piece of screen to the back of the front seat as a cage for prisoners, but as this was just coming into practice not all cars had this feature,so it can be left out and still be period correct if you decide not to do this. All in all, a great kit addition to a limited subject line. Also if you purchase this kit, you may want to consider the AMT Chevy Rescue van, which can be built 4 ways, one of which is a Police Paddy Wagon. And it comes w/ city of troy matching decals which would compliment this kit very nicely!
