German Wehrmacht Bivouac

This new kit from Dragon is a mixed bag. First there are two plastic bags of parts. One with a single sprue that contains the three figures, equipment and lean-to. The other bag has four sprues, sort of. Two each have only 4 entrenching tools of two different types. The other has weapons and gear for four figures. Gas mask containers are molded with the lids separate. There's an MP44 and a K43 with separate mags extra. There's 4 KAR 98Ks with plenty of belt ammo pouch for each weapon. An MG34 and MG42 round things out. The last sprue is personal equipment. Helmets, three different pistol holsters plus a Luger and a P38 along with various different belt pouches. You get three figures who appeare to be beginning to pack their back packs. FYI, the outside face of the pack was cow hide with hair and came in cow colors. I've seen real field packs but I've never seen a fabric one like here. Fact is, they were rare and I've never seen troops in the field with either one. Follow the boxart for painting. One figure is kneeling and has the pack open and the storage pouch for the tent pole and stakes laying out to put it in. About the tent... I was really excited when I found this kit coming out. The only other zeltbamn tent comes in the Italiari Kubelwagen where you get all four sides of the tent. Here you get only two sections along with the folding pole (and a top and bottom for it but not mentioned in the instructions. The second figure is standing and has his pack in his hands. You get 2 pieces of P/E for the straps. The back is visible but has no cover for the large hole there from casting. The Third Man is just there? He's got a hand on hip and the other is up by his head looking at something in the distance ? I'd say if you need these things then add them to your stash.
