"The realy is 29' of barbed wire."
Ron (ORLANDO)
I didn't believe the box and bought two for the price. I promise I will never be in need of barbed wire again I can assure you. If you need to straiten or shape this. Use a hair blow dryer works great just watch the heat and proximity of the dryer. This is very thin and delicate resin although it is pliable making it easy to bend or tie around something. 5 stars on just how much is in one box and 5 stars on quality and pliability.

"I agree, this is an easy & high quality solution to a difficult endeavor in 1/72 scale"

After reading several reviews here, I bought 2 of these & I concur, it is the best option for laying out barbed wire in a diorama (my intended use). I recently wrote a review of the 1/72 Scale Antitank Obstacles by Italeri. Item # ITA556147. In it I extolled the benefits of combining that item with this one to create a superior recreation of the German defenses in the European Theater. I’m using the 2 products together as part of an 8’ long beach segment (undetermined depth @ this time) of the Atlantic Wall. Past the beach I intend to build a layered (tiered) set of cliffs. I will soon purchase 2 more sets of this barbed wire in order to have thick wire entanglements along the edge of these ridges & cliffs. Reviews say the length of the wire provided was a pleasant surprise, & it is, but I need low entanglements & concertina coils to oppose scaling attempts. I haven’t laid any in yet as the landscape is complex to build, but I can’t wait to try my hand at the various wire obstacles of that time. From inspecting the wire, I can already gauge it’s quality & can easily recommend it to other modelers.

"Well done and ready made."

After reading of a couple examples of how to model a barb wire fence I decided to take the easy way out and purchase a ready made one. Aware of the quality of Pegasus' products I decided to purchase this from HobbyLinc. Still I was concerned it would fall short. It did not. Easy to adapt fencing covering all periods of warfare from the 1890's up means you can't go wrong with this product. Fence posts are grooved for that worn weathered look and have hooks on them for the wire attachment. The wire comes on four frames and has to be cut off. It will curl a bit but can be straightened by hanging with a weight on the end. All in all good stuff from Pegasus.

This is a fantastic item for adding that extra detail to your WWI diorama. Looks more realistic than the laser cut. I did snip off the bottoms of the posts so that I could angle them.
