British Sherman VC Firefly

This was my first Ryefield model that I built. I was very impressed with the kit. I followed the instructions except for one step. I installed the top hull with finders before I completed the rest of the top. Only because I was afraid I would knock off parts trying to get the top hull on the bottom. The top hull needed some muscle, but this worked.I then completed the upper hull. PRO'S: You get a 20 page color instruction book. The decals went on nice. Option for 3 different markings. Clear parts for lights and a large amount of PE parts. Detail and fit are excellent. Metal springs for the bogie trucks. They do move the wheels up and down. Jigs are included to build the tracks and bend some of the PE parts. The individual tracks work excellent. The track jig allows you to put together 6 tracks at a time. Once you do your first couple they go pretty fast. The kit gives you a lot of different options of parts to use. For example the Sherman spot light or the British style. A single piece muzzle. Great detail on weld marks and texture on the hull. CON'S: The instruction book does not call out color of different parts. No figures are included. So I left all the hatches closed. I would recommend studying the instruction book carefully and make a plan on construction. I recommend this kit for experienced builders only. Some very small PE parts but they help bring out more detail. I look forward to building another Ryefield kit.
