Actually I built the IJN Yamashario (1942), also by Aoshima (which is now discontinued), the Fuso's sister ship and will post its picture here. This gives a good indication of the finished Fuso product also. I used a slightly different color scheme for the hull and upperworks (medium Gray from Model Master) and liked the way it came out. I also painted the 14 inch guns with Model Master's Steel enamel paint, blast bags are the same color as the superstructure. I ended up spraying with Testor's Dull Coat to take some of the luster off. All the painting is by hand, nothing using an airbrush. The kit give you multiple choices for the float planes to choose from. Also included are extra parts for building a different version of either the Yamashiro or Fuso, and I added 2 extra lifeboats and 4 liftrafts (from the WW2 USN Equipment set). Overall, a joy to build. Would recommend building any other model by Aoshima.
