U.S. Escort Carrier CVE9 Boat

Just completed the ship, only used the hull number CVE-12 instead of Bogue. Painted the hull in a darker gray from boot top to base of gun tubs. Painted the island in a lighter gray and the planes in USN Sea Blue (model master). Flight deck is done in intermediate blue; what little deck space at aft and forcastle is painted in weather deck blue. Only had problem with the middle decal stripping down the middle of flight deck. The flight deck supports at bow just didn't quite fit, but made due. Painted gun barrels in gunmetal and the bases of the guns in a medium gray. Sprayed Testor's Dull Cote to take any shine off the paint. Pictures to follow. This would make a nice diorama using a destroyer or destroyer escort as the trailing ship for picking up pilots who have to ditch during training or returning from a mission.
