Information

German fighters claimed 70,000 air victories against the Allies during WWII, 50 of those kills were made by Knight's Cross recipient Frank Liesendahl in a Bf 109F-4/B. The F-4/B series variant of the Bf 109 carried machine guns in the fuselage of the craft and light bomb loads under the wings. These planes were formed into "Jabo" units- fighter-bomber squadrons equipped to attack land targets.
