1934 Ford Pickup

I have fun to do this kit, some of the review help me out to put more attention on details, I used different rims from another kit. you can be very creative with it due of the version you can choose, For the cable I used speaker wire , enjoy.

This is a great kit. Both engines were very detailed with lots of pieces. The rest of the model is also well detailed. A couple choices for wheels/tires, several options for the bed including a tow arm, plus the two engines makes for a versatile kit. I picked it up because I wanted to put an engine in the stock T from the AMT 2-in-1 kit. It was too big. Why not 5 stars? Because it's advertised as 1/25, which it says on the box. The instructions identify it as 1/24. Indeed, the engine is too big to fit int he AMT Stock T model from the 1925 T kit, and it's quite obviously larger than its 1/25 counterparts. If the scale had been properly identified, this would be an automatic 5-star kit. If you build in 1/24, don't care about scale, or you are a builder of trucks, this kit would have been a good one to pickup. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's available anymore.

I opted to build the tow truck version of this kit (bear in mind if you do this version there is no cable included for the tow cable, so you have to improvise your own cable). Overall the kit is very good in level of detail and options available that you can mix and match to create a custom truck that suits your tastes. Contrary to another review posted here, this kit does not include metal axles, but instead has plastic axles on one of the trees, this would be the only flaw in the kit in my opinion as they are quite small in diameter so they are not the most sturdy option available, if you have metal rods laying around to create the axles I would go that route for a more durable construction. Aside from the thin plastic axles this kit's many options and the level of detail with all the parts/options in the kit makes this an excellent choice for a classic truck model kit.
