L.S.T. (Landing Ship Tank)

With a little work and detailing this can be made into a very good looking model when finished

Old, in a wierd scale, not a lot of detail, some fit issues , but I still had fun with it. It is the biggest injection plastic LST kit out there That I could find. Built one in the early 60s when I was young an two recently . Had some 1/256 detail bits from H&R castings that really helped, but thaey have quit answering thier orders. It needs bits like hatchs, ladders and better guns and I do not have the skills to scratchbuild such. LSTs were modified in many ways during and after WWII , some to the point they were barely recognizable. Outof the box with a god paint job it looks good at five or ten feet away.Closer the lack of details becomes more apparent. Still I had fun with the last one and added two to my stash in case I can find another source for aftermarket parts.

This LST is amazing ! I bought about 4 or 5 and their sitting in my self above my desk. They are easy to build however to put the flag on is kind of hard and the decals aren't to easy but after all the work it looks amazing. If you don't believe me on how good the quality is I'm a tour guide at a public open World War 2 model exhibit so I give the LST's a museum quality A +. The only problem I have run into is displaying. You have the ability to leave the bow doors open or closed , if you leave them open you'll have to put them on a beach or land display.
