1955 Chrysler C300

I just got this model in the mail from Hobbylinc. after going thru the parts and doing some test fitting and build planning, it is obvious that this is a very nice model! The instructions are clear and give color call outs for the different parts; they even tell you what colors the real came in when it was produced. There are even color pictures of the engine and interior to help with the decal placement.

Even Ebeneezer Scrooge would love this model. I used to think that Tamiya makes the best kits and everything else is several notches below. I've rethought that. The color photos of the engine, drivetrain, body, etc. alone are enough to make this unique. It is the little extras that I appreciate. When placing parts, many times there were little holes or pegs that made it impossible for even a ten thumbed builder like me to get something out of alignment. I also like the step by step instructions as to what order to build. Being something of an idiot at times as a model person, I would say that this one comes as close to idiot proof as they come. Even the front and back windscreens have extra wide flanges that make it much easier to install them without getting adhesive in the wrong places. There aren't a lot of custom options, mostly wheels, but this model is of a very classy car that doesn't need a lot of extras. It speaks for itself.
