"1969 Plymouth Barracuda needs a chassis update"

MPC 1969 Barracuda I would love to see an update on this mold as it has a lot of flash and fit is depending on how well you trim and pre-fit parts. It is part of modeling but some of the poor parts gets out of hand. With great tires and nice body mold it would be great to see a more detailed chassis. It is a great looking body once it goes together, the Interior is great though quite a bit you can do to customize as far as seats, roll bar etc. The tires in this kit are awesome, real soft rubber and options for big slicks in the back. The 5 spoke wheels are perfect for the era of this car.

Overall this is a pretty good kit. Simple, not a lot of options or extras but a good enough kit to get a relly good looking model out of it. Although the chassis is one molded piece it is detailed well enough. The interior is fairly well detailed. There was minimal flash and mold lines. No fit issues to speak of. Considering that this is about it if you want to build a stock ‘69 Barracuda it could be a whole lot worse.

This is just an average kit with los of build options so you will have a lot of spares for your parts box. Expect a lot of cleanup on parts and be sure to test fit everything. One very good point is the glass is super clear. I did mine as a box art build in Testors Inca Gold. The drag slicks are a very tight fit so you might want to open the rear wheel wells a little.

Fun to build but has extra parts like hemi valve cover but no heads if you have your own it's fine if not you can only build the 383 I liked the model myself and recommend it!!.
