Works as advertised! A solid adhesive I suggest!
As a new model builder getting back into the hobby, I've gone through trial and error on which glues / adhesives to get. I've tried several, then I heard some good things about this Z-poxy system on a modelers how-to for windshields. This hardens like it says in 5 minutes, but using clamps are a good idea, especially if you make the decision to glue the wheels on. It does need to set for 8-9 hours for best results, but it hasn't failed me so far. I've been able to use it with plastic on photo etch metal with no problems, although I do strongly suggest purchasing HobbyLinc item TAM87061, Tamiya Metal Primer as this helps prep the metal for adhesive and / or paint. This has become my go-to glue for most parts!
Hardener was solidified and no help or support from Robart / Z Poxy
I purchased an 8 ounce pack of 5-minute Z-poxy from a hobby retailer about 150 miles from my home. When I opened the box at home, I found that the contents of the hardener bottle was totally solidified. I contacted Robart and asked if I could get a replacement bottle of hardener, letting them know that the epoxy component was OK. They said they couldn't help me, and to return it to the hobby retailer, which of course is totally impractical for me. I had always used Bob Smith / Hobbylinc epoxies in the past with great success, and this was my first experience with Z-poxy. Due to their poor product support, I will avoid Z-poxy and other Robart products in the future.
