I wanted this model for a diorama representing a scene I read about in a book. The model has great detail and is a lot of fun to put together. I wouldn't recommend this specific trumpeter kit unless you want a char b1 and only a char b1 because there is nothing really extraordinary about this kit. It is smaller than almost every other model kit at this scale and the detail is great but nothing special. I love this kit but it is not the best.

This is an extremely good tank. It is extremely detailed for the scale that it is manufactures at. The parts all fit very well with no major gaps. The molding does no have any major flash. The instructions have some minor typos due to the translation but otherwise everything as very clear and understandable. The kit itself allows you to build either an early or late type B1, but with no distinguishing between which model has which paint job and decals. The instructions for painting are very obvious due to the nice large picture on the box and the guide in the instructions. The tracks will require superglue to be put together and they hold well once they have set up. Overall this is a very good kit that isn't too difficult for a great price.

"Good Build"
I enjoyed making this kit and would have given it a 5/5 if it weren’t for the fit of the hull and main gun (see pics). Trumpeter is one of the best companies for Detail and fun of build. There were three sprues of parts and decals for two versions. The road wheels are all attached on one piece due to the number of them. I kind of like this since you don’t have to glue them all together and repaint over glue, etc. The hull/main gun mating didn’t match up exactly so I had to do some trimming. It is a very detailed model and I enjoyed building it. (See all pics).
