TBF Avenger Plane for USS Essex

I loved these. I was replacing b-25s on the U.S.S Hornet for a midway battle look. I HIGHLY recommend this if you want better quality aircraft for you carrier!

Bought these as an upgrade to my Enterprise 1/700 Academy kit as I wanted to build/paint her as she appeared in the later part of 1944, and these are well worth the price. I bought Hellcats and Helldivers to go along with these and am very pleased with all three sets. The design is accurate, one look is all you need to tell that these are Avengers. As far as cons, there is really only one: the part of the landing gear strut that fits into the wing gear is just a bit too large so you have to shave off a little, but that's not a difficult task. I guess it would also be nice if they had some folded wing options in the box, but that wouldn't keep me from buying these again. Each package comes with 18 planes, so if you pair these with other available types of aircraft, you can equip several carriers. I used 6 of these along with 6 Hellcats and 6 Helldivers for the Big E, and that's enough to give the deck some activity without being overcrowded.
