Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vb Aircraft

An older mold kit boxed with new decals, color paint guide, and new box. 1970's style raised panel lines. Some flash on the smaller pieces. Canopy glass does not sit correctly leaving a few gaps. Cockpit consists of only pilot and seat; not even an instrument panel decal. Not that this matter since the canopy is small and not the clearest; hard to see any details anyway. Simple landing gear; strut is molded with gear door. Option for closed landing gear. No ordnance or external tank options. This is one old mold (1974?) Airfix should retire and update like they did with the 'Zero' kit. Positives: Fuselage and wing join with little need of putty and sanding. Went together reasonably well and quick. It's a weekend/lazy Sunday build. Decals lay down very nicely. Once painted and decals applied looks like an ok Spitefire.
