"Great re-box"

This is AMT's re-box of the Italeri kit (a pre-2005 Peterbilt) and is far superior to AMT's typical offerings. I built the Italeri version a few months ago and was very pleased with its precision and fit. The AMT version is similar, with some parts molded in color. It fit together very well and easily adapted itself to modifications. It's not for beginners- the plastic is thin and the multi-part cab and sleeper are tricky, but it's well designed and with some patience it will be a fun and satisfying build.

Great model kit. Parts go together very well and the instructions are clear. Lots of parts so take your time and your results will be great! I did mine box stock with the addition of an aftermarket cab guard. PROS: goes together very well and is easily customizable. CONS: mirrors were a bit fussy, and Iâ€™m not fond of black styrene as it tends to hide key in points. Still I would rate it a five.

This is a very detailed kit and not for a beginner. Lots of details and moving suspension parts and steering was a nice touch. I wonder with AMT if these kits are not just for English people as the instructions can be a challenge some times. Especially where parts are to be fused/melted together? Overall AMT kits for vehicles-especially trucks are good but instructions would be better if they were more detailed and instructive.
