"A large scale Star Trek classic USS Enterprise"
rkoenn (Brandon, FL)
This is a very unique kit for its scale, 1/350th. Polar Lights spent a large amount of effort making this is accurate to the filming model as they could and it shows. The size makes it highly noticeable and allows for greater detail to be displayed. I also bought the lighting kit which really makes it stand out. Construction overall was very good but if you put the shuttle bay in the back the hull will not close. It requires grinding and a fair amount of extra effort to get it close using putty to finish up filling the gap. Also be very careful about gluing the engine pylons in on the correct orientation to mate with the fuselage. I got them switched and had to buy almost all the engine parts from Round 2 and rebuild the engines. But when it is done and all the lights are up and running it is an amazing model to observe and enjoy.

"Big, Beautiful NCC 1701"

King-size 1/350 NCC-701 with plenty of large scale challenges. No internal detail except the bridge which is pretty small and after-market setsallow for a hanger deck. The biggest problem with big models is what to do with them after the build.

"Awesome model. A must have."

This is a great model! Very well designed model of the TOS Enterprise. Three cheers for Polar Lights on this one. This is a must have model for your collection. I strongly suggest lighting this model. Polar lights makes a lighting kit for this and so does Tena Controls. There is only one problem with the design. The shuttle bay is a very tight fit and you have to do a lot of trimming to make it fit well. Not that big of a deal though. I have now built 4 of these with lights. Every time I build one someone in my family wants it. That's how good this model looks. I would also suggest getting a more robust base for it such as a Wolfbase, but the supplied base works.
