"My first purchase with hobbylinc"

I was a modeler years ago and i guess life happened now I’m a grandpa with more time and decided to get back into building models. Being a science fiction guy I’m starting with a Star Trek uss enterprise e model from hobbylinc. There selection was great, the shipping experience was great and I will definitely shop with hobbylinc again. Now it’s up to me to see if theses 62 year old hands can still paint a straight line. I’ll update when finished.

"Nice model looks great with other large Star Trek ships, but where are the Aztec decals?"
wwwilliam (Salt Lake City, UT)
Round2 (AMT) has dusted off many classic Star Trek kits recently including the 1/1400 Enterprise E featured in the last three Next Generation movies. The kit is molded in white plastic and includes a very nice, functional stand. Decals are pretty basic with no “Aztecing” markings featured in the much smaller Cadet series version of this ship. I’m knocking a star off my rating because AMT should have included them with the larger, much more expensive model in my opinion. Parts fit is so-so with a few gaps and some sinkholes typical of similar AMT Star Trek kits. Clear parts for the engines and deflector dish will need to be tinted with the appropriate color. With some putty, sanding, masking, and painting, the model is a fairly quick build and will present a nice model. Add extra decals and lighting, and it can be spectacular.

"Has some fit issues"

Overall good kit. Some fit issues in tight spots. If you're going to paint according to instructions prepare for a lot of masking and paint mixing.

"Beautiful"

Beautiful kit I actually think the Enterprise-E is a little ugly-looking, but this model tempts me to change my mind. Its amazing how sleek it is. A fun build.
