"Good kit, no problems at all"
masterchief191
This is a great model kit, it was maybe my third or fourth ship to build. This model was very detailed and there were absolutely no problems with part fitments in this kit. Also, the paints required for the camouflage scheme were simple to find. this website has them as well as your local hobby store or hobby lobby.

"Good detail and size"

I hand painted camo. It was a little rough but the colors really standout. I display it with my souvenir piece of her teak deck i got on visiting her in Wilmington! Hard to beat a Trumpeter kit. I did her up with the deck blue. Do some research on color!

"Eek. This is going to take forever."

I have not built this yet because it is going to take a long time. I am a procrastinator. I built the 1/700 NC by Trumpeter, and this one is significantly different. Some parts are the same and 2x bigger, but there are many cases where things are divided into multiple parts and more detail. It looks like it will be great, though. As with the 1/700, I am not thrilled about the way that the main gun turrets assemble. It is hard with the design to get them to mount firmly and still be movable. Otherwise great.
