Sherman M4A1 Screamin' MIMI

this kit goes together so well and looks real good when finished this kit can be built as a regular sherman or the screamin mimi. you will not be disappointed the parts fit so well with one minor exception the seam next to the left drive sprocket will not close but is easily filled with puddy. this seems to be a molding issue as the rest of the kit fits together well.

The tank was easy to build. The figures that came with the tank were poorly molded and had a lot of plastic that had to be trimmed.

I give this kit 5 stars for what it is: an old kit. It has held up well thru the years. There is not excess flash on the parts and the join seams are pretty smooth. The radio antenna is way to big. I use guitar string for replacements, but stretched sprue works just as well. The tracks are the rubber band type that need to be joined on the ends. I don't trust gluing them, so I always put a couple of staples across the join. It is easy to hide under a wheel. This is a unique Sherman to add to the collection at a very reasonable price. I would recommend buying 2 and building one without the T34 rocket launcher. These launchers were also mounted on other vehicles, do a bit of research and build your own launcher/vehicle that no one else has.
