"Nightmare"

There was nothing but trouble with this model. Had to trim, reshape and in some cases cut pieces down to fit. Revell needs to redo the moldings on the chrome parts. I had no problems with the white plastkic parts. Do wish they would give you a xtra door hinge. Lost one and had to cut a new one. Didn't look pretty so I put it on the back side. Do agree it is a great looking model, but if they don't twick the chrome parts, make it a LEVEL 5.

"A disappointing build"

What went wrong? I don't know if I just got a bad one or if it is the norm, but I was very disappointed with this kit. The molds hadn't been cleaned and checked in way too long. The flashings were so big that they were actually larger than some of the smaller parts features. It wasn't just one spru either, it was all of them. One of the most notable features on the real car is that everything was chrome, even the frame. Nothing looks worse than huge flashing sticking out on a chrome part. I ended up stripping all the chrome off of the chromed parts so that I could smooth them out and re chrome them. What a pain that was. The windows were partially closed by judge flashings. A wonderful car, a terrible kit.

"Challenging Kit to Build"

If you are looking for a challenging model to build, this is it. Much prep on the parts has to be accomplished before final assembly. The engine assembly did not go well due to part fitment. But, this is a unique model that is a good addition to your collection. Just need to take your time during the build.

"Good luck building this kit"

I remember this kit when I was young, and I didn't have the ability to build it. Now that I have the skills I tried to build it, and failed. The kit showed its age as there was a lot of flash on the parts. Because most of the parts are chrome there are touch up areas where they attached to the frames. As a result the silver touch up looks bad. I never could get the body attached to the supports on the frame so I just set it on the frame. But it does look wild when finished, so have a lot of patience if you want to build it. Not a kit for beginners.
